Origin of Dark Hunger Mechanics & Guide
Core Consumption Rules
- Starting Threshold: Requires at least 100 failstacks. Failstack advice below 100 must be built through regular gear failure or Devour before using Origins.
- Hard Ceiling: Caps strictly at 300 failstacks. Any consumption that would exceed 300 is clamped directly to 300.
- Fixed Gains: No RNG failure chance. Every Origin consumed yields the exact fixed amount specified in the Adventurer's Guide for that tier.
- Valks' Cry Separation: Valks' Cry (+10 or +13) and permanent family journal failstacks do not count toward the base 100 requirement or the 300 cap.
Optimization & High-End Enhancement
- Clean 100 → 300 Milestone: Consuming exactly 22 Origins from a 100 Advice of Valks lands exactly on 300 FS.
- Diminishing Bracket Returns: Gains start at +26 per Origin in the 100~101 bracket, gradually decreasing to +8 at 218 FS, +5 at 270 FS, and +1 at 299 FS.
- High-End Endgames: Primarily utilized for high-value enhancements such as Sovereign Weapons, Fallen God / Ator's / Dahn's / Labreska armors, and PEN Deboreka accessories.
