Overview

BDO Atlas is committed to visitor privacy. This policy outlines exactly what data is handled when you visit the site. Today, BDO Atlas operates as a static reference site: we do not maintain user accounts, we do not run third-party advertising scripts, and we do not collect personal data.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) exclusively to store your immediate site preferences locally on your machine. This data never leaves your device:

• bdoatlas_theme: Remembers your selected color theme (dark or light) to prevent visual flashing on page navigation.
• bdoatlas_region: Stores your active game region (such as NA or EU) so the top boss countdown and schedule display your preferred region.
• cc_v1: Stores your response (granted or denied) to the cookie consent notice.

Cookies and Consent

We deploy a self-contained, lightweight cookie consent script (consent.js) that honors privacy regulations in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland:

• Geographic detection: A client-side IANA timezone check determines whether you are visiting from the European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland without making external network calls.
• Default state: Undecided European visitors default to denied consent until a selection is made.
• Current state: The site currently runs zero advertising scripts and zero analytics scripts.

You can change your consent decision at any time by clicking the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Email Communications

Messages sent to contact@bdoatlas.com or dmca@bdoatlas.comare received through Cloudflare Email Routing and stored (sender address, subject, body) so they can be read and answered, and are deleted on request.

Hosting & Infrastructure

BDO Atlas is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and static CDN infrastructure. Cloudflare acts as our reverse proxy and receives standard HTTP request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) strictly to protect the site from denial-of-service attacks and ensure network security.
