New Sun

After the former king passed away, many events transpired, and Go Yun often felt so discouraged that he wanted to give up countless times. However, he endured and persevered, grateful for his aunt who sacrificed for him and the traveler who sternly scolded him to wake him up. As Go Yun sat in Geunjeongjeon Hall during the morning assembly, watching the ministers bow their heads to him, he felt as if that time now seemed like a mythical dream. A peaceful reign and the tranquil lives of the people—that is the purpose of a king. Reflecting quietly on his responsibilities, Go Yun welcomed the light of a new morning with the rising sun at his back.
