The Dispute at the Sanctuary

After Aal's revelation was delivered through Mariam, disputes among the Hashashin were said to have never ceased. "They finally received the word of their god, yet each heard only what they wished to hear. Chaos reigned. Some feared the end was near, while others cried that Aal had come to save them... Blind to the divine will, they saw only their own hopes and despair reflected in it. Tempers flared so fiercely that some drew steel against their own brothers. ...Such was the desperation with which our brethren clung to Aal's revelation." - Kuntur
