Pirates have their own verbal codes, and sometimes use strange words only they can understand. They often change these codes everyday.
All pirates need to know these codes. The Cox Pirates in particular are noted for mercilessly killing those who fail to produce the correct code on any given day. Hey, they should have been paying attention!
