[Edanian Journey] Aphrodon

Chapter 1: The Harvester Who Never Reaps

After crossing the doors of Alyaelli, I came to by a campfire in an unfamiliar camp. Illezra sat nearby, looking perfectly at ease.

"Back to your senses? You could rest a little longer. Anyway, welcome to Alyaelli."

I could still feel the impact of crossing the doors, but Illezra already seemed to know where we were headed next. She led me to Aphrodon, the domain of Agris, Goddess of Abundance.

But now, Agris called herself the Harvester Who Never Reaps.

Illezra told me that Agris had already witnessed the world end three times. After watching the lands and abundance she had nurtured fall to ruin each time, Agris made her home here and shut herself away from the world.

"Yet, that child who never gave up hope until the very end... To think she's finally settled here... What a pity."

Aphrodon was overflowing with grain, yet none of that abundance reached anyone. It had simply been left to stagnate. Illezra said Agris had sealed herself away, waiting for the fourth downfall.

Agris's power was apparently needed as a catalyst for the Heart of Atomagia Illezra sought. But before we could ask anything of a god who had closed herself off, we first had to find a way to make her open the door.
