Chapter 6: The First Golden Age
Elion was originally the name of a dynasty.
The people spoke of Princess Tiaa, the Dawning Star of the kingdom. As the sole heir to the Elion dynasty, a divine bloodline, she was said to have been born under a prophecy that both trial and glory would come in the year of her succession.
But then came the Night of Crimson Oath. After the long-awaited campaign, the people claimed that the princess had slaughtered them. Tiaa was deposed, and her royal consort, Ramose, took the throne in her place.
Time passed, and when the Dark Invaders approached, fear spread among the people. There were also reports that Princess Tiaa had survived and was fighting against them. If Princess Tiaa was Elion before ascending to godhood, then contrary to what was commonly believed, Elion was a goddess.
I had learned from Sophia that Ramose had usurped the throne. After taking Tiaa's place, he erased all records of her and distorted history, claiming that she would only tarnish the name of Elion. It was likely an attempt to protect his own false legitimacy.
The princess continued to fight the Dark Invaders, but Ramose never sent reinforcements to her battlefield. If Tiaa became an Edana during that struggle, we suspected this history would connect directly to the records of the Silver Age.
Sophia seemed shaken by what we had learned as well. She had once faced corruption and refused to accept the truth before her, and now she said she could understand the choices Elion and the Valkyries had made. But she could not follow them to the same conclusion.
What we had to do had not changed.
Once we joined all the fragments of the promise we had found, the True Prayer was finally complete. Sophia and I returned to the Tower of Will.
Having faced every sin, it was time to stand as witnesses for humanity.
